With partner factories in both Europe and China, we are often asked where a project should be produced. There is no single answer: it depends on your volumes, your schedule and your budget. Here are the criteria we use.
Volumes and unit price
For medium and large series, Chinese factories usually offer the most competitive unit prices, especially when tooling is involved. For prototypes and small series, the difference is smaller and European production is often the simplest option.
Lead time and proximity
Producing in Europe shortens transport times and makes urgent iterations easier. Production in China requires planning for shipping time, by sea or by air depending on urgency and budget.
Logistics
Within Europe, logistics are simple. From China, parts are shipped directly from the factory to your door, and we organise the shipment so that you keep a single contact.
Quality and confidentiality
Wherever your parts are made, the same rules apply: certified partner factories working under NDA, inspections against your drawings, and photos and inspection reports before shipment. Our Hong Kong team follows production on the ground in China.
The best of both
Many projects combine the two: prototypes and pre-series in Europe for speed, then mass production in China for cost. Tell us about your project and we will recommend the most suitable option in our quote.
